This Day in TV History – January 18, 1993 – Batman: The Animated Series’ “Harley and Ivy” Airs

Two villains team up in an episode from a critically-acclaimed animated series that aired on this day in 1993.

“Harley and Ivy” was the 56th episode of the award-winning Batman: The Animated Series, airing on January 18, 1993. Written by Paul Dini, the episode brings together two popular villains–Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

The two team-up, wreaking havoc on Gotham City as they commit various crimes and capers. This team-up was a popular one, leading to a comic spin-off “Harley and Ivy” as well as inspiring many pieces of fan art in the Batman community.
