Dexter has an unexpected cheerleader during a chess match on an episode of Dexter’s Laboratory that aired on this day in television history.

In the short, Dexter is taking part in a chess tournament, but his mother attends as a fan. But, Chess isn’t exactly a competition made for boisterous crowds!

The other shorts that aired as part of the episode were “School Girl Crushed” and “Father Knows Least.”
