A video game that lets you compete in various Olympic events was released on this day in gaming history.

International Track & Field, developed and published by Konami, was released for the Sony Playstation 1 in the US on June 28th, 1996.

Following in the footsteps of Konami’s previous Track & Field titles, the game lets a player compete in a variety of events from the 100m sprint to the javelin to the hammer throw.

The game was later released as a title on the Playstation Network in 2009.
