A video game based on a popular board game was released on this month in video game history.
Pictionary, developed by Software Creations and published by LJN, was released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System in July of 1990.
Based on the board game of the same name, Pictionary has players competing against each other or AI players to guess what a picture is, while moving along a board. There are two modes in the game, allowing for variations in style of play. Clues are revealed in various mini-games, from small platforming to shooters and others.
The game is also known for its original soundtrack, composed by Tim Follin.
