“Year of Hell, Part II” is the 9th episode of the 4th season of Star Trek: Voyager. Written by Brannon Braga and Joe Menosky and directed by Mike Vejar, it first aired on UPN on November 12th, 1997.

With only the command crew remaining, the crippled Voyager takes refuge in a nebula to make repairs and avoid the deadly ships of the Krenim Imperium. Meanwhile, onboard the time ship controlled by the man behind changing history, Chakotay and Tom Paris work from the inside to try to save their crewmates, and history itself.

Kurtwood Smith, who is best known for his role as Red in That 70s Show, appeared as the two-parter’s main antagonist Annorax. The episode was also notable for its special effects, including the increasingly-crippled Voyager both inside and out. Some fans count the episode as one of their favorites of the series, although some debate about the alleged “reset-button” ending.
