Sonic Colors, developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega, was released exclusively for the Wii on November 16th, 2010.

The game follows in the footsteps of other modern 3D Sonic games, as the player controls Sonic through a variety of side-scrolling and 3D behind-the-back levels. Sonic must speed through the levels while battling enemies, avoiding obstacles, and occasionally battling bosses. Aside from the usual modes involving speeds and attacks, Sonic can transform using the help of the alien Wisps to help his way through the levels.

Colors can be controlled through many different ways from the Wii Remote to the GameCube controller. After some games that received a negative reception like Sonic 2006, Sonic Colors garnered generally positive reviews and sold over 2 million copies within just a few months time.
