This Day in TV History – January 23rd, 1995 – Star Trek: Voyager’s “Parallax” Airs

As they begin their journey back to friendly space, Voyager encounters an unusual anomaly in space in an episode that aired on this day in television history.

“Parallax” is the 3rd episode of the 1st season of Star Trek: Voyager. Written by Brannon Braga and directed by Kim Friedman, it first aired on the United Paramount Network (UPN) on January 23rd, 1995.

Voyager, over 70 years from friendly space on the other side of the galaxy, begins its journey back home. As the crews of two ships struggle to integrate, the Intrepid-class vessel encounters an unusual formation in space that seems to have a ship trapped inside. They soon find that the ship they saw–was their own!
