This Day in TV History – February 11th, 1993 – The Simpsons’ “I Love Lisa” Airs

A Valentine’s Day-themed episode of the long-running “The Simpsons” animated series aired on this day in television history.

“I Love Lisa” is the 15th episode of the 4th season of The Simpsons. Written by Frank Mula, the episode originally aired on February 11th, 1993.

In the episode, Lisa Simpson’s classmate Ralph Wiggum hasn’t received any Valentine’s cards, so she gives him one with the message “I Choo-Choo-Choose You.” Ralph then develops a crush on Lisa, but she doesn’t return those affectionate feelings, but they’re soon to appear together in a school play.
