Power Rangers Dino Thunder was the 12th season of the long-running Power Rangers action franchise that began in 1993 with Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. It first aired on February 14th, 2004 on the ABC Family network. Like all Power Rangers seasons, its based on the long running Super Sentai franchise from Japan, in this case Bakuryū Sentai Abaranger.

In the series, three young students in the city of Reefside become the Dino Rangers. They are Conner (James Napier), Kira (Emma Lahana) and Ethan (Kevin Duhaney). They are led by Tommy Oliver, a character that dates back to the first season of the franchise, best known as the Green and White Rangers. Later in the series, Oliver becomes a ranger again himself.

The season would last 38 episodes through November. It would be followed by Power Rangers S.P.D. The complete Dino Thunder run is available on DVD as part of a special Seasons 8 to 12 box set from Shout! Factory as well as a standalone season release.
