“A Taste of Armageddon” is the 23rd episode of the 1st season of the original Star Trek television series. Written by Robert Hamner and Gene L. Coon and directed by Joseph Pevney, it first aired on February 23rd, 1967.

The crew of the Enterprise are assigned to try to work diplomatic relations between two planets. A warning is sent out for them not to approach, but the diplomat on board insists. They arrive to what seems like planets in peace, but they are battling each other–with computers. That includes people willingly sacrificing their lives, and the crew of the Enterprise has been declared dead as well!
