This Day in Television History – March 13th, 1996 – Star Trek: Voyager’s “Investigations” Airs

Is one of Voyager’s crewmembers a traitor? That’s the story of an episode that aired on this day in television history.

“Investigations” is the 20th episode of the 2nd season of Star Trek: Voyager. Written by Jeri Taylor (with story by Jeff Schnaufer and Ed Bond) and directed by Les Landau, it first aired on UPN on March 13th, 1996.

In the episode, the crew is shocked when Lt. Tom Paris leaves the crew to join a Talaxian ship. Voyager then comes under attack by the Kazon after Lt. Paris is kidnapped from the Talaxians. Is he responsible or is someone else betraying the crew?

“Investigations” is the conclusion of an arc throughout several episodes of the 2nd season involving Tom Paris. It also ties in with the overall arc involving Seska and the Kazon.
