In the episode, the League gets an unlikely call from help–from one of their deadliest foes, Darkseid. He’s threatened by another longtime nemesis, Brainiac. Can he be trusted, and is there something more to this intergalactic situation than it seems?

The episode strongly connects to multiple episodes of the animated Superman series, also part of the DCAU, and features other characters aside from those previously mentioned such as Kalibak and Orion.
