This Day in TV History – April 29th, 1998 – Star Trek: Voyager’s “Living Witness” Airs

An alien race blames the starship Voyager for its problems in the past in an episode that aired on this day in television history.

“Living Witness” is the 23rd episode of the 4th season of Star Trek: Voyager. Written by Brannon Braga, Bryan Fuller and Joe Menosky, it first aired on UPN on April 29th, 1998.

The episode is set 700 years after the previous episode of the series, on a planet where a museum curator discovers a copy of the Emergency Medical Hologram. They believe that the crew of Voyager to be evil, cold-blooded killers, but the Doctor hopes to set things right.

The episode was directed by Tim Russ, who played Lieutenant Tuvok in the series.
