Mario Power Tennis, developed by Camelot Software and published by Nintendo, was released in the United States on November 8th, 2004. The title was a GameCube exclusive.
Like the previous title, Mario Power Tennis lets the player hit the court with a variety of Nintendo characters ranging from Mario to Daisy to Wiggler and others. Gameplay ranges from basic tennis to a variety of modes featuring fantastic power-ups, skill shots with special powers, mini-games involving hitting rings or targets and more.
The game was a moderate success, selling nearly 300,000 copies in just three months in the United States alone. A Wii remake, featuring motion controls, was released in 2009.
